Notice on adjusting remote detection measures for people travelling from Georgia to China

According to the "Notice on Interim Measures for the International Exchange of Chinese and Foreigners" issued on December 27, starting from January 8, 2023, Beijing time, people travelling to China do not need to apply for a Green Health Code at the Chinese embassies or consulates abroad before their trip.

When the time comes, people travelling to China from Georgia must complete 1 nucleic acid test within 48 hours before departure. Those with a negative result can go to China without applying for a Green Health Code from the Chinese Embassy in Georgia. The applicant must fill in the negative nucleic acid test result in the customs health declaration card. 

Chinese Embassy in Georgia reminds travellers from Georgia to China to pay attention to the following points:

1. The above-mentioned optimization and adjustment measures are applicable to international flights arriving in China after (and including) 00:00 on January 8, 2023. 

2. People who travel to China from Georgia, no matter if they take a direct flight or a connecting flight, do not need to apply for a Green Health Code from the Chinese Embassy in Georgia. According to your own itinerary, you can complete the nucleic acid test at a legally registered testing institution in Georgia or in a transit country. The time limit is within 48 hours before the departure time of the flight to China, people with the negative test results can travel to China. If the test result is positive, the person concerned should go to China after the result turns negative.

3. People travelling to China can choose any of the following customs health declaration channels to fill in the "People's Republic of China Exit/Entry Health Declaration Card":

1) WeChat Mini Program “海关旅客指尖服务” (Customs Passenger Fingertip Service)

2) Web page

3) “掌上海关” (CHINA CUSTOMS) APP

4. After filling in and submitting the information, it is recommended that people travelling to China keep the paper or electronic version of the negative nucleic acid test report for future reference.

5. All people travelling to China are requested to continue to take various anti-epidemic measures, strictly wear face masks during the trip and be responsible for their own health.
