A few days ago, one of the leading media in Georgia, media holding “Georgian Times”, published the results for the 2022 media survey, where Ambassador Zhou Qian was named the diplomat of the year.

Media holding "Georgian Times" has been conducting this survey since 2020. As part of the survey, more than 30 representatives of various mainstream media choose their favorites in categories such as, “event of the year” or “person of the year”.

The list of nominees chosen by journalists in 2022 is as follows:

1. Person of the Year: Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II;

2. "Anti-Hero" of the Year: Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili;

3. Event of the Year: Pandemic coming to an end;

4. Politician of the Year: Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili;

5. Cultural Figure of the Year: famous film director and screenwriter Levan Tutberidze;

6. Businessman of the Year: Pantico Tordia, the founder of "Tam Management" aircraft manufacturer;

7. Athlete of the Year: Famous Georgian football player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia;

8. Problem of the year: Traffic congestion and rising prices;

9. Most Popular Job of the Year: Journalist;

10. Diplomat of the Year: Chinese Ambassador to Georgia Zhou Qian
